Kiss Announce 2015 Australian Tour Written by Sam Murphy on March 12, 2015 We’ve been waiting for the announcement ever since they teased it last year but now Kiss have officially confirmed that they will be bringing their mammoth tour to Australia in 2015. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are set to head down under to play arenas around the country in celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary this October, armed with their incredible arsenal of hits. As you’d imagine, a Kiss show is not just your usual rock show. It’s an extravaganza complete with a stage production called The Spider, moved by 38 computer controlled winches, featuring 220 automated lights, weighing a hefty 43,000 kgs, incorporating 900 pieces of pyrotechnics and powered by 400,000 watts of sound.Kiss last toured Australia on a co-headline tour with Mötley Crüe in 2013. “I’ve loved Australia since the very first time I visited,” the band’s singer Paul Stanley said of Kiss returning to Australia. “It is one of the greatest secrets on earth and probably better to keep it that way. The food, wine and women are all extraordinary and everyone has always welcomed me and made me feel like it is home.” Last year Kiss were touring the world with Def Leppard, however that won’t be the case in Australia. Instead Kiss are bringing with them The Dead Daisies featuring a brag-worthy lineup of Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses), Australian David Lowy (Mink), vocalist John Corabi (Mötley Crüe) plus bassist Marco Mendoza, drummer Brian Tichy and keyboard player/vocalist Dizzy Reed. Tickets for this new Australian tour start from $98 and go on sale Thursday March 26 at 2.00pm. Pre-sales are also available. Details for all new shows are below.
